• Full-time, 5 days per week, day shifts (8-hour shifts), 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in an ambulatory OR setting, including orthopedic, general, hybrid, or trauma surgeries.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, covering multiple OR units as required.
• Ensure compliance with certifying and licensing requirements, including BLS, ACLS, and Illinois state nursing license.
• Adhere to facility policies regarding holiday work and RTO restrictions, including working two out of three major holidays.
• Complete all required documentation and modules, utilizing Cerner for charting.
• Maintain excellent patient care while supporting team collaboration in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Required Qualifications

• Illinois registered nursing license in hand at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience, with at least 18 months; exceptions may apply.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross only).
• Ability to float within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
• Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Able to work across various OR specialties, including orthopedic, general, hybrid, or trauma.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in ambulatory OR environments.
• Flexibility to work holidays and float as needed.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in perioperative settings.
