• Full-time, night shifts (3x12 hours, 1800-0630), on-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide adult critical care and emergency respiratory therapy services in a Level I trauma center
• Manage airway devices, suctioning, intubation assist, and extubation procedures
• Administer oxygen therapy using various devices such as bag and mask, high flow nasal cannula, and ventilators
• Troubleshoot and manage mechanical ventilators including BiPAP and CPAP, and wean patients from support
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner electronic health records
• Float within scope to meet departmental needs, including within affiliated hospitals when necessary

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois license in hand
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• BLS and RRT certifications
• Experience with airway management, ventilator management, and oxygen therapy
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in adult critical care, emergency department, trauma level I/II settings, or teaching hospitals
• Experience with trauma patients and airway management devices such as tracheostomy suctioning and extubation
• Ability to work on a rotating schedule, including every other weekend and major holidays

Additional Details

• Shifts: 3 nights per week, 12 hours each, starting at 6:00 PM
• Travel compliance is required; candidates must be able to secure housing and complete all onboarding steps timely
• Candidates must be within 50 miles of the facility for travel purposes
• Floating within hospital is mandatory, including affiliate hospitals
• Parking is provided at no cost during shifts
