Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the PACU, including pre-op and post-op recovery.
- Float within the department as needed, covering Phase 1 PACU and other areas.
- Follow established protocols for patient monitoring and care during recovery phases.
- Participate in scheduled orientation and pass required assessments, including an EKG test.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois nursing license.
- Minimum of 3 years ICU experience.
- CPR and ACLS certifications.
- Successful completion of an EKG skills assessment and passing a related test prior to start.
- Ability to work a 10-hour day shift, starting at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in pre-op, post-op, and Phase 1 PACU settings.
- Flexibility to float within the department.
- Strong clinical skills in anesthesia recovery.
