Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Full-time, 13-week assignment, Days shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical unit, working with adult patients requiring general medical care.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech Expanse documentation system.
• Interpret EKGs, manage CPAP therapies, and handle port access as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, and wound care tools.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and unit-specific procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (compact license preferred if applicable).
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Current NIH certification (annual renewal required).
• Experience with telemetry, post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention care, and EKG interpretation.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Knowledge of chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, and drains.
• Experience with blood transfusions, central lines, and post-dialysis assessments.
• Ability to handle complex procedures such as paracentesis.
