• Full-time, Day shift, 3x12 Hours

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed Medical Surgical unit, specializing in Urology and Nephrology.
• Monitor patients’ cardiac status using telemetry and respond to emergency situations using rapid response teams.
• Manage pre and post-hemodialysis care, including renal failure management.
• Administer medications, including Heparin, and perform IV therapy such as blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, and blood draws.
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and oxygen therapy.
• Ensure compliance with isolation protocols, wound care, and maintain Cerner electronic charting.

Required Qualifications
• Valid Illinois RN license in hand at time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years’ hospital nursing experience, preferably in Med Surg or Telemetry units.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, emergency response, and IV therapy.
• Ability to float within scope of practice within the facility and to affiliate hospitals.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with renal/dialysis management and genitourinary cases.
• Knowledge of hospital protocols such as isolation precautions and wound care.
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records.
• Prior telemetry or cardiac monitoring skills.
