• Full-time, Night shift (3x12 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a Medical-Surgical unit.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products accurately.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including neurological, respiratory, and wound care needs.
• Document patient information and care plans using Cerner charting system.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including alternate units as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Illinois RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent relevant experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Proven IV therapy and phlebotomy skills (accessing ports, PICC line management).
• Experience managing neurological and respiratory cases (e.g., CVA, chest tubes, ventilator management).
• Ability to work night shifts and comply with on-site protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior charge nurse or leadership experience.
• Past experience in a Level I trauma or teaching hospital.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system and hospital protocols.
• Wound care and isolation precautions knowledge.
