Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team by preparing, providing, and caring for instruments and equipment during procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical operations.
• Follow sterilization and cleansing procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
• Support surgeons in the operating room, ensuring all supplies and equipment are available and properly handled.
• Adhere to universal precautions and safety protocols to minimize exposure to infectious materials.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from a Surgical Technology program preferred.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• Surgical Tech certification required.
• Knowledge of instrument care, sterilization procedures, and OR protocols.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• One or more years of experience in an acute care hospital OR or instrument care environment.
• Knowledge of bloodborne pathogen safety standards and OSHA compliance.
