Job Title
• Registered Nurse - CVICU

• Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide bedside nursing care to patients in a 24-bed Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, including those undergoing cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries such as CABG, valve repairs, and transplants
• Follow clinical protocols, adhere to policies including UVAs float policy, and ensure compliance with safety and documentation standards
• Utilize Epic electronic medical records system for charting and patient documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care during overnight shifts
• Maintain certifications in BLS and ACLS, and ensure all licensure requirements are met prior to start

Required Qualifications
• Valid state RN license (pending license accepted; license in-hand required at start, RRTs must have license at submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Epic EMR experience
• Willingness to float within scope of practice within the facility
• Ability to work nights and adhere to schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills
• BSN degree preferred
• Prior ICU experience, specifically in a CVICU setting
• Knowledge of VA healthcare policies and procedures
• Experience with travel or agency nursing considered a plus
