Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic testing such as pulmonary function tests and blood gas analysis to assess lung and heart conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
- Provide emergency respiratory care and administer medications as needed.
- Manage and operate equipment including mechanical ventilators.
- Educate patients and their families on managing breathing disorders and operating necessary equipment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records diligently.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RT).
- Certification as a BLS Provider (AHA).
- Epic electronic medical record experience.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
- Availability to start ASAP.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous employment with the client organization within the last 6 months (perm, per diem, or contract).
- Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
