- Sterile Processing Technician
Location
- Bangor, ME
Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shift, 8 hours per shift, 5 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Follow hospital policies and procedures related to sterile processing
- Properly clean and prepare instrumentation for sterilization
- Transport soiled and sterile instruments to and from the operating room area
- Maintain competence in sterile processing processes
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the SPD Supervisor, charge technician, or Director
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification within three months of hire
- CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Department Technician) encouraged within 18 months of employment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in sterile processing or related healthcare setting is a plus
