Registered Nurse - Hospice
Location: Westminster, MD
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Day shift, 8-hour shifts (Monday-Friday)
Key Responsibilities:

• Support hospice patients and caregivers in their residence (home, assisted living, or skilled nursing facility).
• Conduct patient evaluations to determine continued hospice eligibility.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and monitor symptom management.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maximize patient comfort and meet end-of-life goals.
• Educate and empower caregivers regarding end-of-life treatments and interventions.
• Prepare for and participate in bi-weekly case conferences and weekly interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Order medical supplies and medication refills as needed.
• Create and update individualized care plans, supervising hospice aides’ work.
• Travel within designated geographic areas, with mileage reimbursed per IRS standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Ability to travel within the service area.
• References required.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous hospice or palliative care experience.
• Strong patient assessment and care planning skills.
