Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel assignment, night shift (7 PM - 7 AM), 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to telemetry patients in a busy hospital setting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient status and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Support patient education and family communication as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas or ability to obtain
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant RN experience in a telemetry or cardiac unit
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and handle high-acuity patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification highly preferred
- Experience with NIH stroke scale or post-operative telemetry monitoring
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with outgoing personality
