Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 3x12-hour shifts (days and nights rotating)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients in IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize and respond to vital rhythm changes and symptoms
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient progress and responses accurately in electronic medical records
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Ohio nursing license or Compact State license in Hand
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent experience in the specialty applying for
- Previous stepdown or ICU experience, including travel assignments, acceptable
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments with passing scores
- Ability to work at least every other holiday and meet shift requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with PCU or progressive care units
- Familiarity with hospital policies specific to Cleveland Clinic
