• Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location
• Asheville, NC
Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, Full-time, 13-week assignment, Days shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Assist in preparing the operating suite, equipment, and supplies for various surgical cases.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all phases of perioperative care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to facilitate smooth procedures.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards, maintaining sterile environments.
• Document patient care accurately using the facility’s electronic medical record system.
Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license and current licensure in North Carolina or the ability to obtain.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR nurse.
• Proven skill level of 3 or higher in joint, neuro, ortho, or vascular surgeries.
• Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including call requirements.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with robotic surgery, general, GYN, plastics, urology, burn, or trauma cases.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
