• 13-week travel assignment, full-time, day shifts, onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on neuro and trauma patients
• Perform assessments such as neuro and spinal checks, and execute procedures including chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumber drains, feeding tube placements, and blood transfusions
• Monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to unit protocols and safety guidelines, including weekend and on-call requirements
• Document patient care efficiently using the Cerner EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or state of practice
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• At least 2 years of RN experience, preferably in stepdown, med-surg, neuro, or trauma units
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts, 3 days per week

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neuro and trauma care experience highly preferred
• Familiarity with ICU equipment such as IV pumps, Skylift, Chest tubes, Trachs, and Patient lifts
• Experience with Cerner EMR system
