Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Location: Hilo, HI

Schedule / Job Type: Contract, Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous airway management, including ventilator and non-invasive support
• Consult with physicians and perform all aspects of respiratory care
• Administer CPR and manage respiratory treatment procedures
• Operate equipment such as computerized charting systems, Pyxis medication management, and ventilators (PB 980, PB 840, V60, Para Pac Transport Vent)
• Care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols and safety standards

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Hawaii State Respiratory Therapist license (current preferred; application submission acceptable)
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• PALS certification (preferred)
• NRP certification (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience
• Ability to care for multiple patient populations (adult, pediatric, neonatal)

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Past experience working in a hospital setting with ventilator management
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
