• Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, rotating shifts, 36 hours per week following orientation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a 15-bed unit
• Monitor patients using telemetry and interpret telemetry strips
• Administer medications using Meditech charting and Pyxis system
• Perform procedures such as blood sugar fingersticks and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Assist with patient assessments and updates in electronic medical records
• Float to various acute units including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and Emergency departments as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Hawaii RN license (must apply upon acceptance, license required by start date)
• Minimum of 1 year hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work 36 hours per week on scheduled shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in progressive care and telemetry units
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with Meditech and Pyxis systems
