Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiation therapy treatments, simulations, and treatment planning independently, following physician prescriptions and instructions.
• Fabricate specialized treatment aids and set up all treatment sites within a comprehensive cancer center.
• Assess patient data to determine individual treatment needs based on age-specific requirements.
• Operate advanced equipment including Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and ARIA EMR, treating approximately 25-30 patients per day.
• Contribute to providing oncology services for the island of Hawaii at the East Hawaii Health Cancer Center.

Required Qualifications

• Current Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiation Therapist.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
• BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of progressive experience in imaging or radiation therapy techniques.
• Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam and ARIA EMR systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced treatment modalities such as 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electrons.
• Familiarity with treating diverse treatment sites in a comprehensive cancer care setting.
