We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Laconia Rehabilitation Center, a leading skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals recovering from illness or injury.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities to identify areas of need • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' unique goals and needs • Provide speech therapy services, including articulation, language, and fluency therapy, as well as swallowing therapy • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive care • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies to promote independence and self-sufficiency • Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements and center standards

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited institution • Current certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) • 1-2 years of experience working in a rehabilitation setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility • Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse patient populations and needs • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
