Schedule / Job Type

• Rotating shifts, on-call up to 3 times per month, variable hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Care for patients in pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II recovery stages following surgery.
• Monitor and assess post-anesthesia patients, including vital signs, incision sites, and overall stability.
• Utilize hospital equipment such as Meditech, PCA Pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV Pumps, Cryocuff, SCDs, Bair Paws Warmers, and Phillips monitors.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and critical care skills.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, including vaccination and licensing requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a critical care RN (ER or ICU) in a hospital setting, or applicable PACU experience.
• Valid Hawaii RN license or ability to obtain one prior to start date.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption prior to contract start.
• Knowledge of hospital equipment and emergency protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (recommended or required for some positions).
• Additional specialty certifications such as NIHSS or TNCC are preferred or may be required.
• Prior experience in surgical or critical care nursing is a plus.
