Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative care for patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures within a Level II Trauma Center.
- Assist with surgeries including CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, Carotid Cutdown, VATS, RATS, Mediastinoscopy, Pericardial Windows, Tamponade, and minimally invasive cardiac procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and charting using EPIC electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, maintaining sterile techniques and adhering to safety protocols.
- Attend to at least one weekend call shift per month, including weekends and weekday evenings, with availability for float between units or hospitals as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVOR or cardiac surgical services.
- Current Washington state RN license or Compact license.
- BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CNOR preferred.
- Valid and pending licenses accepted; must include all RTO requests at the time of application.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, with at least one weekend per month.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC charting system.
- Prior experience working in a Level II Trauma Center setting.
- Familiarity with a variety of cardiac and vascular surgical procedures.
