Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound services, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress tests for adult patients.
• Prepare equipment, position patients, and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Review images, evaluate patient history, and report findings to aid in diagnosis.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to answer the clinical question the exam aims to address.
• Assist in expanding or adjusting examinations based on clinical needs.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited cardiac sonography program or equivalent work experience.
• Less than 1 year of ultrasound or cardiac sonography experience.
• Certification as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and pathology.
• Ability to operate advanced ultrasound equipment effectively.
