Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical/Tele unit within a specialized cancer center.
• Float between Medical Surgical and Oncology units, including units focused on BMT, leukemia, hematology, medical oncology, gynecological oncology, urology, colorectal, surgical oncology, and corrections healthcare.
• Follow strict infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety during high-acuity care.
• Adhere to unit-specific policies and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure timely completion of bedside orientation and adhere to staffing ratios.

Required Qualifications

• Valid compact or state nursing license in Ohio.
• Minimum of 2 years of high-acuity Med Surg Tele or higher-level experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Ability to pass hospital-specific credentialing and fingerprinting processes.
• Current and compliant with travel documentation timelines before start date.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with infection control and patient fall prevention.
• Ability to work variable schedules and self-schedule requests.
