Key Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care to patients in IMC, PCU, and stepdown units, managing patients with high acuity levels.
• Proficiently monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to arrhythmias and other cardiac issues.
• Manage complex patient care needs such as chest tubes, trachs, feeding tubes, epidurals, and non-titratable cardiac drips.
• Triage and care for postoperative patients, including those with surgical procedures such as neck dissections, thoracic surgeries, and abdominal resections.
• Float to different care levels as needed, including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU, with provided resources.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining compliance with facility protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of Indiana (permanent or temporary license)
• Minimum of 18 months of RN experience, preferably in a critical or acute care setting
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and management of cardiac drips
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and 3 days per week; willing to float as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-surgical patient care, including ENT, thoracic, and general surgical procedures
• Skilled in managing epidurals, feeding tubes, and complex airway care
• Prior experience in a teaching hospital environment is a plus
• Comfort working with multidisciplinary teams and high-acuity patient populations
