- Full-time, 12-hour day shifts, travel assignment, 13-week duration
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to high-risk labor and delivery patients in a busy hospital setting.
- Assist with procedures such as C-sections, inductions, AROM, IUPC, and Doppler assessments.
- Monitor patients using advanced equipment including Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, telemetry, and monitors.
- Collaborate with an experienced team of nurses and staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Support the hospital’s new OB Hospitalist program and participate in team nursing approaches.
- Maintain compliance with unit policies and protocols, including oxytocin administration and high-risk patient management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
- Proven experience circulating C-sections.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-risk obstetric cases.
- Current RN license in the state of Kansas.
- Basic proficiency with EMR systems such as Meditech and CPN Gold.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- More than 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
- Experience with high-risk pregnancies and labor management.
- Knowledge of the hospital’s new OB Hospitalist program.
- Flexibility and strong teamwork orientation.
