Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Services department in accordance with current laws and regulations.
• Interpret and communicate policies and procedures to nursing staff, ensuring compliance and proper practice.
• Participate in all resident admission decisions and daily or weekly management meetings to address census, resident status, and concerns.
• Evaluate work performance of nursing personnel and implement disciplinary actions as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and facility assessment activities, including performance improvement initiatives.
• Serve on various facility committees as appointed.
• Ensure delivery of compassionate, high-quality care with adequate staffing, cleanliness, and optimal resident functions.

Required Qualifications

• Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years recent experience as a Director of Nursing or in a supervisory nursing role within a hospital, nursing home, or related healthcare facility.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care.
• Current CPR certification.
