Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological examinations, ensuring proper positioning and safety.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients, answer questions, and address concerns.
• Operate radiologic equipment such as CR, Fluoro, and DR rooms safely and efficiently.
• Review exam requests, verify patient identity, and ensure correct ordering and scheduling.
• Assist radiologists and fluoroscopy technicians during procedures, including fluoroscopic and special exams.
• Transfer images to PACS, perform quality control, and document procedures accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following radiation safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff throughout the department.
• Perform clerical duties, including managing workflow, assisting with office functions, and supporting departmental operations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a specialized radiologic technology training program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Registered with ARRT in Radiology.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, renewed every two years.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and radiologic safety standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and operate radiologic equipment effectively.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of one year of experience performing radiological procedures in a hospital, clinic, or physician’s office.
• Experience working with PACS and digital imaging systems.
• Ability to handle urgent and STAT imaging requests efficiently.
