Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized orthopedic patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Perform dressing changes, suture/staple removal, and wound vac maintenance.
- Assist with procedures such as Foley catheter placements and NG tube management.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare team.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during all nursing interventions.
- Adhere to unit policies and maintain compliance with safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NC Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Experience in orthopedic or medical-surgical units preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hospital experience in a trauma or orthopedic unit.
- Knowledge of common orthopedic procedures and post-operative care.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively.
