• Full-time, Night shifts, 13-26 weeks contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care to primarily medical-surgical patients, including oncology history management.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other medications via IV, PO, or injection routes.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including oncology-related procedures, wound care, and use of medical devices like ports, PICC lines, chest tubes, and drains.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team using systems such as EPIC and PYXIS, adhering to safety and documentation protocols.
• Float to similar units or alternate inpatient locations as needed, ensuring continuous patient care coverage.
• Participate in storm/hurricane team response and attend required staff meetings.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state, in hand at start.
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient medical-surgical experience, including oncology.
• Experience administering chemotherapy and biotherapy preferred.
• Certifications required: Oncology Certification (OCN preferred), BLS, and must pass EKG testing prior to start.
• Ability to work night shifts and flexible with floating requirements.
• Must be capable of administering chemo if needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience.
• CPI certification.
• Knowledge of CDC isolation precautions, advanced wound care, and central line management.
