Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for critically ill children.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and support invasive and non-invasive procedures such as chest tube management, lumbar punctures, and seizure management.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record system (Meditech).
- Follow unit policies, guidelines, and safety protocols, including appropriate dress code.
- Supportive and collaborative team environment with a focus on patient care and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
- Valid state nursing license.
- Experience working in a Level 1 or Level 2 NICU preferred.
- Ability to work the specified night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is a plus.
- Experience with neuro, ortho, general surgery, thoracic cases, or related procedures is advantageous.
- Supportive and collaborative personality with a team-oriented approach.
