Key Responsibilities

• Assist with cardiovascular interventional procedures, including interventional cardiology, neurology, radiology, and electrophysiology.
• Verify patient identification, obtain informed consent, and review allergy and contrast reaction histories.
• Prepare sterile supplies, equipment, and medications, ensuring proper sterilization and safety protocols.
• Monitor and record vital signs, assess pulses, and assist with patient preparation and comfort.
• Support radiation safety practices, including equipment setup, dose documentation, and minimizing exposure.
• Assist with imaging protocols, digital image acquisition, and procedural data documentation.
• Provide post-procedural patient care, including pressure application, dressing, and vascular closure device placement.
• Collaborate with physicians during procedures, maintaining sterile technique and assisting with vascular access and other interventions.
• Educate and provide practical instruction to students and team members.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiology program
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation
• ARRT(R) certification
• ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CI) certification
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with vascular access, interventional procedures, and advanced imaging techniques
• Knowledge of radiation safety and biological hazard protocols
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot imaging and contrast injection equipment
