• Full-time, Days shifts, 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care for cardiovascular surgery patients in the CVOR unit.
• Assist with procedures such as CABG, valve repairs/replacements, AAA repairs, AV fistula creation and revisions, and TAVR.
• Monitor and operate specialized surgical equipment including EVH video towers, laparoscopic towers, cryo systems, and patient warming/cooling systems.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards using Meditech EMR.
• Participate in on-call rotation for weeknight and weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license in the state of Texas or applicable state licensing.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CVOR RN.
• Proven experience with cardiovascular surgical procedures and intraoperative nursing care.
• Ability to work 10.5-hour shifts, 4 days per week.
• Excellent communication, team collaboration, and flexibility.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with complex cardiovascular procedures such as MitraClip, TAVR, and TMVR is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with operating room equipment including Bovie cautery, Impella consoles, and IABP.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
