Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Methodist Hospital.
• Monitor hemodynamic parameters, including Swan-Ganz catheters and arterial lines.
• Manage ventilators and support critical cardiac patients post-surgery or with cardiac support devices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including documentation, dress code, and floating policies.

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, with at least 1 year in CVICU.
• Certified in BLS and ACLS.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and critical care procedures.
• NIH certification required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Exposure to IABP, CRRT, and meditech charting.
• Experience with post-CABG, post-VAD, post-cardiac cath procedures, and cardiac support devices such as Impella or ECMO.
• Knowledge of advanced ICU procedures and cardiac patient care.
