Full-time, 12-hour shifts, mid shifts, on-site
Key Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway, and overall condition
- Manage patients on drips and ventilators, ensuring stability and safety
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient status and interventions accurately in medical records
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and communicate effectively with team members
Required Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts RN license at the time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent PACU experience
- Experience working with patients on drips and ventilators
- Ability to pass ECG/telemetry and medication knowledge tests during onboarding
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital PACU setting with high acuity patients
- Familiarity with managing pediatric and adult patient cases in PACU
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
