Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

• Richmond, VA

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Day shift
• 3 shifts per week
• 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit specializing in Neuro and Trauma.
• Assist neurologists with bedside procedures such as lumbar punctures.
• Perform procedures including central line dressing changes, tube feedings, wound care, and Foley catheter insertions.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changing clinical conditions.
• Utilize EMR systems to document patient care efficiently.

Required Qualifications
• Active Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• BLS certification required
• Compassion and patience in patient care
• Strong teamwork skills

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Neuro assessment skills
• Strong communication abilities
