Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services to acute care patients across various medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, neurological, stroke, dysphagia, respiratory, and cognitive cases.
• Support hospital staff by developing and implementing patient-specific treatment plans based on physician orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and progress monitoring.
• Document patient assessments, treatment progress, and discharge plans in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Adapt therapy techniques to meet the needs of diverse patient populations within a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Support acute care therapy department with timely intervention, including weekends as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Proficiency in supporting patients with dysphagia and neurological impairments.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hospital environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in an acute care hospital or similar medical setting.
• Familiarity with modified barium swallow (MBS) and FEES procedures is a plus but not required.
• Experience supporting ICU and neurologically impaired patients.
