• Full-time, nights, 13-week travel assignment, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Monitor and manage 6-7 patients per shift, utilizing telemetry equipment effectively.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform procedures such as TPN, PCA, wound vacs, and tube feeds.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with charge nurses, providers, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (Cerner).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina or appropriate state license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Telemetry competency.
• Ability to manage 6-7 patients depending on shift.
• Experience with urology and bowel patient populations.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with procedures such as NG tubes, colostomies, urostomies, drains, and Heparin drips.
• Knowledge of diverse surgical procedures including cholecystectomies, bowel resections, urology surgeries, and more.
• Positive, energetic, and engaging personality with strong communication skills.

Additional Details

• Shifts: Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, including 6 weekend shifts every 6-week cycle.
• Unit: K8 General Surgery, 44-bed unit with a dedicated team.
• Attire: Navy blue scrubs with white undershirts; no outerwear allowed.
• Start Date: January 26, 2026.
• Worksite: Asheville, NC.
