Job Title

Key Responsibilities
• Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced hospital emergency department
• Perform a variety of procedures including trauma assessments, stroke care, STEMI, and trauma activations
• Efficiently multitask and work independently using specialized equipment such as Meditech EMR, Life Pack Defibrillators, Braun IV Pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola Radio Systems
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards and core measures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Float to other units as assigned, based on clinical competencies and departmental needs

Required Qualifications
• Valid Hawaii RN license (must obtain prior to start for travelers not currently licensed in HI)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant ER experience
• Proficient in IV skills and emergency procedures
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, NIHSS (mandatory)
• Ability to work variable 8- or 12-hour shifts, averaging 80 hours bi-weekly, with at least one weekend off per roster

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with stroke, STEMI, trauma, and activation protocols
• Familiarity with AIDET and Press Ganey patient service standards
• Experience with patient safety initiatives and core measure compliance
• Additional certifications such as NCI and Procedural Sedation are desirable but not mandatory
