Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to ER patients in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist in triage, patient monitoring, and documentation within the emergency department.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
- Utilize advanced skills to perform procedures and respond to urgent patient needs.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including documentation and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain reciprocity.
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience as an ER nurse in a high-volume setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different areas of the ED.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, with flexibility for additional coverage if needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center.
- Previous employment in a high-volume ER with over 100,000 annual visits.
- Experience with electronic health records such as Cerner.
- Bilingual skills or experience serving diverse patient populations preferred.
