School LVN/LPN

School Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Details:

• Location: Stockbridge, GA
• Pay: Starting at $30/hr
• Hours: 30hrs/wk
• Schedule: 10a-4p

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree or beyond. 
• Valid GA LPN License or Compact issued by the state.
• BLS Certifications required.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics, community health, or school nursing.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct professional nursing services, including first aid, illness, and emergency care to students and staff according to professional standards of practice.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures according to physician orders and school policy.
• Monitor immunization compliance and follow up as required.
• Implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs.
• Serve as a resource to school staff on health-related issues, including infection control and emergency preparedness.
• Participate in the development of health policies and procedures for the school.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community partners to support student health needs.
• Maintain supplies and equipment necessary for health services.
• Attend IEP, 504, and other meetings as needed to support students with health concerns.
• Provide health education to students, staff, and families as appropriate.
