Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, floating between all acute care areas as needed.
• Adapt to different units within the facility, maintaining high standards of nursing practice.
• Document patient information accurately using the Meditech EMR system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and dress code (solid navy scrubs).
• Assist with any unit-specific procedures or patient needs during night shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
• Valid Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or a Compact state (no temp licenses accepted).
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting.
• At least 18 months of total experience working under a high-level professional nursing license, with 1 year in the specialty.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating to multiple units within acute care settings.
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a floated schedule.
