Job Title
• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shift (3x12 hours)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care in IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units, including assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care.
• Monitor cardiac and other vital signs, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to emergency situations.
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips and vasoactive medications, following protocols.
• Manage and care for various medical devices such as telemetry monitors, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and IVs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure positive outcomes.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across similar units.

Required Qualifications
• Active Illinois RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response.
• Proficient in IV therapy, medication management, and use of medical equipment detailed in the job description.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Previous charge nurse experience.
• Background in trauma or teaching hospital environments.
• Experience with surgical drains and respiratory management, including CPAP/BIPAP and chest tubes.
