Schedule / Job Type
- Night shifts, 1 shift per week, full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide labor and delivery nursing care to patients in a rural community hospital setting
- Manage coupling care for mothers and newborns during hospital stays
- Perform intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring to assess fetal well-being
- Occasionally float to assist other departments, primarily as a nurse in labor and delivery
- Support patients during childbirth, ensuring safety and comfort
- When assigned as charge nurse, receive additional compensation
Required Qualifications
- Valid Hawaii RN license
- Labor & Delivery and Nursery experience
- Experience with couplet care and fetal monitoring (intermediate or advanced level)
- Ability to work 72-80 hours every two weeks
- Experience in a rural hospital environment preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience handling approximately 45-50 deliveries per month
- Ability to adapt to shift changes and float as needed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
