- Full-time, Days shifts, 8 hours per shift, 5 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Assist radiologists and physicians in performing ultrasound exams and obtaining diagnostic images.
- Prepare patients and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Obtain and review patient history, supporting clinical data, and ensure proper documentation.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, evaluate images, and provide preliminary technical findings to physicians.
- Maintain quality control and infection control protocols for ultrasound equipment and workspace.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergency or after-hours requests.
- Ensure patient safety, privacy, and adherence to HIPAA regulations during all procedures.
- Keep ultrasound logs updated with patient and exam information, and properly store and send images via PACS.
Required Qualifications
- Certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
- Ability to perform ultrasound procedures with accuracy and technical knowledge.
- Excellent patient care skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Six months of ultrasound experience preferred.
- Experience with PACS imaging and documentation systems.
- Knowledge of infection control and equipment maintenance protocols.
