• Full-time, 4 x 12-hour night shifts per week, contract position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality labor, delivery, and postpartum care to obstetrical patients, including antepartum and high-risk cases
• Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using bedside assessments and hospital systems such as EPIC and PYXIS
• Assist with routine procedures like sterile vaginal exams, newborn care, and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage a busy unit averaging over 300 births per month
• Handle double labor assignments and float to other units as needed in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, such as sterile techniques and patient documentation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN licensure in North Carolina or a Compact state, in hand at start
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience, with preference for 3+ years
• Experience in high-volume settings with more than 300 births per month
• Certification in BLS, AWHONN intermediate, and NRP
• Competence in circulating, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time traveler accepted with relevant large-volume labor and delivery experience
• OR circulating experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with flexibility to float within the hospital
