Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units during night shifts.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and manage complex patient needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Perform assessments and ensure timely documentation of patient status.
• Float between multiple Cone Health campuses as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and safety standards during night shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown units.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and IV titration.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.
• Ability to interpret EKGs and manage peripheral and PICC lines.
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with patient management during nights and weekend rotations.
• Knowledge of unit-based staffing ratios (1:5) and float requirements.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system.

Additional Details

• Shift hours: 19:00 to 07:30.
• Duration: 3 night shifts per week.
• Travel compliance requires full documentation by Wednesday noon prior to start date.
• Local radius acceptance: No, candidates must reside within 50 miles and hold a valid driver’s license.
• All candidates are subject to floating across campuses and mandatory EKG passing during compliance.
