Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, day shifts, 12-hour shifts, on-site
Key Responsibilities:
- Float between various medical and surgical units, including IMC, PCU, and Stepdown departments.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and implement nursing interventions.
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR and operate unit-specific equipment such as pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
- Complete orientation and unit-specific training to ensure compliance with department standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Hawaii state nursing license (must be obtained prior to start date).
- 2+ years of recent nursing experience in acute care settings.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Ability to float across multiple units as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Certifications such as PALS, TNCC, ENPC, or Procedural Sedation are a plus.
- Experience with Meditech EMR and unit-specific equipment like wound vacs and chest tubes.
- Strong adaptability to different clinical environments and fast-paced settings.
