Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Room for various surgical specialties including orthopedics, urology, general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry, and pain management.
- Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and hospital staff to coordinate patient care before, during, and after surgeries.
- Ensure proper documentation and charting using approved systems such as Epic.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, licensing requirements, and travel regulations.
- Willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current California RN license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an operating room setting.
- Ability to work day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
- Availability to work a 40-hour week, 5 days per week.
- Must meet travel compliance standards (Tier 3).
- Basic understanding of surgical procedures and OR protocols.
- Clear health documentation including references covering at least 6 months to 1 year of recent OR experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified in Epic OR charting or similar EHR systems.
- Experience working with orthopedics, urology, or ENT surgeries.
- Ability to float between different hospital units and sister facilities as needed.
- Experience with surgical scrub and sterilization procedures.
