Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency patients across all age groups, including special care populations such as cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health.
• Manage acute conditions in a STEMI and stroke designated facility with specialty units like cath lab and women’s health.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including mandatory pass/fail EKG exams and required certifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care for complex cases, including trauma and critical cardiac events.
• Complete all documentation accurately and promptly in the EPIC electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience.
• Current RN license with license in hand.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH certifications.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience.
• Experience working in STEMI and stroke care settings.
• Ability to work night shifts and adhere to strict compliance deadlines.
• Must be within a 50-mile radius of Burlington, NC, with a valid driver’s license for verification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travel nurses are accepted.
• Experience in a trauma or level I trauma center preferred.
• Familiarity with hospital specialties such as cath lab and women's health nursing.
• Ability to float across multiple Cone Health campuses as needed.
