- Full-time, night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends, no call, may include holiday rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in a variety of surgical procedures within a high-volume Level I Trauma Center, including trauma, transplant, ortho, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics cases
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile equipment for scheduled surgeries
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth operation of procedures
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and radiation badge requirements
- Support surgical team in both scrub and circulate roles as needed
- Comply with hospital policies and RTO scheduling guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience
- Certification: NBSTSA (must be obtained through MUSC, NOT NCCT)
- BLS certification
- Radiation badge required
- Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and robotic surgeries (Da Vinci Xi)
- Familiarity with high-acuity trauma and transplant cases
- Knowledge of EPIC charting system
